SERVICES
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GEL AND REGULAR POLISH?
Both are applied by a similar process however the gel manicure require several sessions of curing via UV LED light. Because of this gel manicures last longer than regular polish manicures.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GEL MANICURE AND A DIP MANICURE?
Gel manicures are a liquid that is painted on your nails and then cured with a UV LED light. Dip manicures use a pigmented powder that does not need curing with a UV light. Both last up to several weeks.
HOW LONG DOES A MANICURE LAST?
Regular polish typically lasts 7 days. A gel manicure lasts up to 2-3 weeks and a dip manicure can last up to 3 weeks. However, all depend on the growth of your nails and how well you care for your manicure.
HOW DO I REMOVE A GEL MANICURE?
We suggest that a professional remove your gel manicure due to the process required to safely remove a gel manicure from your nails. It will require a file, acetone soak, and foil to remove the gel manicure. It is not recommended to just scrape off the gel manicure as that can damage your nail beds.
DO YOU DO ACRYLIC NAILS?
Yes, we do but by appointment only. Please call ahead of time to set up an appointment. However, we suggest and provide hard gel extensions as an alternative. Hard gel extensions are odorless and nontoxic to the environment.
CAN I BRING MY OWN POLISH TO THE SALON?
Yes, you can bring your own polish to the salon.
CAN I WAX OR SHAVE MY LEGS BEFORE A PEDICURE?
We do not recommend that you wax your legs for at least 48 hours or shave for at least 24 hours prior to a pedicure.
DO YOU USE UV LIGHT?
All of our lamps use LED lighting. While this does emit a small amount of UV light, several scientific studies have concluded that they are safe to use and brief exposures are safer than natural sunlight.
WHAT IS CBD?
CBD is cannabidiol. This is harvested exclusively from the hemp plant and does not contain high levels of THC and thus does not produce any of the psychoactive effects of marijuana. It is safe and legal in every state and has been used for decades in beauty products for its skin care benefits.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF CBD?
It contains fatty acids and thus is excellent at hydrating skin. CBD has anti-oxidant properties providing both cellular healing and anti-aging. It also has anti-inflammatory benefits which may help with sore or achy joints.
STERILIZATION
WHAT IS A PIPELESS PEDICURE CHAIR?
A pipeless pedicure does not involve pipes to create the jets in the pedicure tub. This is because the old way was next to impossible to sterilize. All of our pedicure chairs have removable jets which are changed between every pedicure to ensure a clean and sterile pedicure.
HOW DO YOU STERILIZE YOUR EQUIPMENT?
All reusable equipment such as nail clippers and cuticle clippers are soaked in a hospital grade cleaning agent. Nail files, pumice stones, and buffers are all singe use items and are given to you to take home at the end of each session or disposed of after each session
